12 - Thankful to cross off a few things from my work to-do list. Today was rough. #monday
-
8 - Thankful for a good workout (spinning) with good people - it re-energized me and took away the negativity of the work day.
9 - Thankful for Friday - it was a long week.
10 - Thankful to do nothing but lay in bed with Michael alternating watching The Wire and sleeping. (Being hungover made me extra thankful for this.)
11 - Today I am thankful that the house was already sort of clean because I can’t bear to clean anymore.
-
5- Thankful for that extra delicious hour in bed before work. And thankful for 75 degree indian-summer air on my way home later that night….
6- Thankful Obama won.
7- Thankful to wake up and have breakfast with my boo (and a free ride to Bart!).

‘Tis the Season to be Thankful
I don’t normally participate in “internet challenges” but this one I want to do. Making up for four days here:
1 - I’m thankful my husband is into setting goals (and managing our finances). He is my hero.
2 - I’m thankful to live in the beautiful state of California, where we get 70-degree hike-worthy days in November. Standing on top of a cliff looking over a blue sky, crashing waves, and awe-inspiring rocks makes for a good Saturday.
3 - I am thankful for talks with my sister. And that she and her boyfriend are having a great year.
4 - I am thankful to live across the street from my church, thereby removing any excuse I could come up with to not go. Plus - walking makes me happy.

There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.

Do you ever get nostalgic for time periods you’ve lived through? This song takes me back to a TIME that I feel cannot happen exactly the same way ever again. And this is (one reason) why music is important.
